Types of injuries we see

We will happily see all musculoskeletal injuries you’ve sustained, whether you’re a climber or not. If the injury has recently happened (acute injury) or has been troubling you for some time (chronic injury) we can provide effective and evidenced based treatments and advice to facilitate your rehabilitation. From ‘climber’s elbow (overuse/inflammatory injury) to lower back pain or a ‘niggle’ you are struggling with, we can advise you how to recover and prevent it reoccurring. Having the luxury of a climbing gym and training area on site, we can help you to progress functionally stage by stage until you are ready to return to climbing or other activities.

Our Services

Initial Consultation and treatment | 45 mins | £45

During your initial assessment, we will complete a thorough examination of your presenting symptoms and identify therapy goals with you to ensure an effective and progressive rehabilitation. We will use a range of physiotherapy and sports massage techniques, tailored specifically to your injury. See below for treatment techniques.

Follow-up treatment | 30 mins | £30

If you require a follow-up treatment after your initial consultation, we will review your progression and provide the treatment you need for the next step in your rehabilitation. Being based at Highball Norwich, we have access to the wall to ensure that we can keep your rehabilitation functional and specific to your return to climbing or other sports.

Sports Massage | 30 mins | £30

Don’t consider yourself to have an injury or just looking for a quick muscle relief? We are both qualified and experienced in sports massage and will work with you to keep you injury free. Sports massage can enhance your sporting performance, reduce muscle pain or tension and improve your flexibility.

Personal Rehabilitation training | 60 mins | £45 (includes 10 minutes of photographs/document to follow programme)

See it as a 1:1 personal training session or conditioning session with a focus on physiotherapy principles. We use our knowledge of injury prevention principles, anatomy and the relationships of muscles, multi-joint relationships and functional strength to improve your set goals.

Examples of these sessions are rehabilitation from injury, working on specific joint based exercises that are being irritated during exercise or training or a holistic programme of exercises set to your own goal such as improving plyometric power, endurance, balance etc.

This can be tailored to anything and everything – as long as we know your goal we will work towards it with you
